Description of Project

This mural honors the lives and legacies of two notable Philadelphians. Robert N.C. Nix Sr. was the first Black Congressman in the House of Representatives in PA. Robert N.C. Nix Jr. was the first Black Supreme Court Chief Justice in PA (or any other state). Both father and son had a legal background and made contributions towards racial equity and social justice.
