Table alchemy
Description of Project
An exhibition at The Art Dept. Philly that focused on repurposing found objects into functionally new and creative directions. This exhibition served as a continuation and expansion of The Village Table project, part of the Knight Arts grantee residency SPACES at The Village of Arts and Humanities. By using cans and wrappers often discarded from food, lead artist Linda Fernendez used weaving practices with unconventional materials as functional methods for reusing plastic waste.
