The Educators

Description of

Project

Sponsored by Stockton University and the Atlantic City Arts Foundation

Four black female educators who were trailblazers in Atlantic City community were honored with a mural on the corner of Martin Luther King Blvd and Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City. To celebrate Stockton’s University’s 50th anniversary and the NAACPs 113th  National convention happening in the city simultaneously it was only fitting to have a wall commemorating Dr. Vera King Farris, Ph. D (1938-2009), Dr. Juanita High, Ph. D (1934-present), Dorothie W. Dorrington, ED. S (1927-2005), and Hannah Pierce Lowe (1875-1963)
